There are two options to download the geoid model (EGM2008) in JAVAD GNSS format. The first option is to download the entire geoid file from here. Since the size of this file is huge (about 1GB) we strongly recommend that you download your specific work area using the following tool.

To download the geoid data for your specific area, please use the Map controls. First scroll the Map until your specific area becomes visible in the window. Next put the NorthWest(NW) pointer over the top-left corner of your work area. Similarly put the SouthEast(SE) pointer over the right-bottom corner. The size of the work area can be up to 20° by 20°. Once the selected area is highlighted in green you can download the data by clicking the "Submit" button below.

Definitions:

  • Two corners of the work area must be specified
  • Longitudinal and Latitudinal size of the work area must be less or equal to 20° but greater than 1°
  • Final area sizes will be truncated to integers
