The Good Letter #35

John Evers

I have been out in the yard taking advantage of the results of the new Autocad import. I would like to congratulate the people that pulled this off. My import set was the old version of Autocad 2000. So far I imported one drawing which had several thousand points, along with some 600 lines. Everything went well.

I also have imported a simple drawing with only polylines. I had each polyline on its own layer, and it only took me only a second to figure out how to stakeout my desired waterline. There it was in a nice list with the other named layers.

I can not wait until curves are represented. This will be incredible.
