The equipment appears to be manufactured to a high quality and some of the features are very appealing. However, the negative traits outweigh the positive ones in my opinion.

Good:

Compact size
Level correction
Detailed system information
No cables or Bluetooth for rover/data collector connection
Tracks satellites very well

Bad:

Awkward to handle with one hand on monopod
Hard to handle when not on monopod even with two hands
When set at a good height for viewing the screen your arms are held uncomfortably high
Excess information makes reading screens too complicated

I never did get the system running to collect RTK data even after several days, multiple attempts, and a half-hour phone call to Michael Glutting. I still don’t know what the problem is and I finally gave up. I really wanted to like the product and I was expecting it to be a great design from the advertisements but I was disappointed with how it worked in real life. If I had waited for the capacitive touch screen I may have been willing to spend more time working with it but the screen on the one I received was absolutely hideous. I literally was never able to enter a number 2 out of 30 or more attempts and 70% of the time the screen responded with the wrong entry.

Now all I need is the return shipping label.

I was hoping to hear back from you after your meeting or the next day so we could continue to work to determine what configuration setting was preventing you from computing an RTK solution. Before you make your decision to return your trial system, may I call you on Monday morning to get you up and running and discuss getting the new capacitive touch screen in your hands so you can give the system a more complete evaluation?

We recognized the problem with touch pad and we have already changed it. See comments of some PLS testers on our website. They commented that the new display and touch pad is the best they had ever seen.

It seems that the integrated unit is not your preferred choice, though only with integrated system you can do things like measuring angles with camera, like a low level total station angle measurement and some others.

Soon we will announce TRIUMPH-NT which antenna is separate. Also we will announce Victor-LS as a controller, which works with TRIUMPH-2 or TRIUMPH-1 on top of the pole. They all run our J-Field the same way.

Please return the units and monitor our website for the new products that I mentioned above. We will work with you if you are interested.
